The PBA LEGENDS and PBAM LOYALS Classic was a matchup of opposites. The Legends with weight, height, savvy and pro experience (gulang) against the Loyals with youth, spunk, energy and the home crowd. And like an All Star game, the game became serious and spirited in the closing minutes . With the visitors leading, 92-90, Aamir uncorked a 3 to give the Loyals the lead, 93-92. The Legends popped out 2, 94-93 then sandwiched Loyal charities with a twinner to get back the lead, 96-95. With nitty gritty time deja, Amir scored on the return, 97-96 Loyals. Cool like the pro that he was, Hizon zoomed in a 3 to give the Legends the lead again, 99-97. Shawn Browne countered with a lay-up to even up. 99 all. With 14 seconds to go, the Legends had the chance to finish off with a win. An errant pass did them in. The local Loyals, on AJ Serue’s 3 pointer with 3 seconds left, stunned the Legends. 102-99 game over. Great game for Montreal Filipino Basketball.
